Raptor VisitorSafe vs EduQueue

This is the page where we compare ourselves with the incumbent. The Raptor column is cited to Raptor’s own pages and published terms; the EduQueue column is our own statement about our own product and is not independently sourced. Read both with the same scepticism.

Every Raptor and EduQueue cell below is either a quotation or close paraphrase from the vendor’s own public page or terms, with a footnote, or the words “not published”. We do not estimate prices. The EduQueue column is our own product and is not independently sourced; read it the way you would read any vendor’s.

When Raptor is the right choice

  • You are buying the suite: emergency management, reunification, volunteer background checks and a hall-pass product on one purchase order, with one support number. We do not offer panic alerting or mass notification.
  • Your state or cooperative contract already names Raptor (GSA, BuyBoard and TIPS vehicles recur in public records) and procurement can buy off it without an RFP.
  • Your risk register needs a vendor with 60,000+ schools and a large account team. We are a small team in New Jersey.
  • You need rostering through Clever or ClassLink, or Blackbaud / Veracross integrations. Today we sync from PowerSchool.

When to pick EduQueue

  • You want to keep the PCs, tablets, scanners and printers you already own, and to be told per model what works.
  • You want per-building pricing, a free single-building tier to try it on, and a written export commitment from day one.
  • You want to see the screening data’s per-state coverage before you sign, not a phrase.
  • You run a city hall as well as, or instead of, schools.
EduQueue visitor check-in screen: building name, today's date, counts of active and checked-out visitors, a search box with Search and Scan buttons, and the Currently Checked In table listing three visitors with photo, check-in time, location, role and a Check Out button each.
EduQueue’s visitor check-in screen, captured from a test instance with seeded, fictional visitors (the faces are generated). Shown so the EduQueue column above is not the only unsourced thing on the page; Raptor’s screens are on Raptor’s site.

The free tier is one building, no card, no sales call, and it does not expire. It is the same platform the Union City Board of Education and the City of Union City, NJ run in production.
